No, not that La Quinta. This gorgeous resort is located in La Quinta, California and is a Waldorf resort. And I'm telling you, the whole place smells of Orange Blossoms, and feels like you are transported to a Frank Sinatra 1960s Palm Springs with twinkly lights and cool vibes. We took a sweet little 3 day family vacay to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Southern California, to just outside of Palm Springs to the quaint little spot in La Quinta. Upon entering the grounds of the resort, you are taken aback by the gorgeous fresh flowers, landscaping, and effervescent aroma of hundreds of blooming orange trees. After a helpful and seamless check in, we found our little villa on the grounds. We loved the Spanish architecture throughout, with accents of blue trim. Seriously, you feel taken to another country and it’s only a few miles from Los Angeles!
Nestled amongst the villas are several swimming pools, tennis courts, and super family friendly activities and shops for everyone in the group! Walking the grounds is lovely in itself, and we had so much fun watching tennis pros warm up on the several courts.
When it comes to food, La Quinta Inn has it on lock! One of our better travel dining experiences. Our first night we ate in their Mexican restaurant Adobe Grill, which also had live music! Hudson had fun dancing with new friends! We had table side guac, carne asada tacos, refreshing margaritas, and the best entree was “Costillas En Adobo” delicious braised short ribs.
For our date night, mom and dad got to celebrate an evening out in style, in La Quinta Inn’s “Morgan’s In the Desert”. We had a golf cart concierge pick us up so I didn’t have to trek in my heels! We had lovely service, a beautiful bottle of Pinot Noir, Jeremy ordered the filet mignon which he loved and I had the salmon which absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and still refined so you get the fine dining food and service while still feeling at home.
If you need a weekend to reconnect I really recommend this gorgeous place! It was a perfect balance of comfort and service. And as always, dog friendly places are our favorite!
As always, I love to dress the part of where I travel. Here are two inspirational boards for dressing under the Desert Sun. Vintage Stevie Nicks, always great for inspo! Checkout my Pinterest for details!
